1. They use a camera for visual images, they use a voice to tell the people the good properties of the car, and they use some photo shopping to replace the actual people with the babies since babies are too young to be able to surf well and to drive a car.

They also described the car model as ' the next generation ' this shows that they were trying to tell us that the car model that they were advertising is new and is new and improved. They also used babies throughout the commercials as the main characters. This tells us that the product is so easy to use that even babies can use them. Since most babies are picky, it also tells us that it would easily satisfy people with its function since the baby was satisfied and even wants to drive it. At the start of the commercial, they also said something about the wind. This tells us that the car can travel very quickly and smoothly like the ' restless wind '.
3. The media is trying to tell us that the newest model from Hyundai is already available and on sale for people to buy.
4. It is intended for young adults that are eligible to drive a car since they said it is ' the next generation’
5. The video would not be effective as it would not be able to catch the attention of the people watching it and leave an impression in our heads so that we would be able to remember it. This would not really attract potential buyers as most people would want to buy products that would benefit them the most or help them make life easier. However, this only states that it is easy to drive and the car having a high speed and can drive smoothly. They did not clearly state the other functions of the car to the people, causing the people not to be interested in the product, resulting in a small amount of buyers.

Some people might also already have spouses and they do not need a car such as the one portrayed in the video. The characters in the video- Creates humour and irony. It is weird and not usual to see babies driving a car, going to the beach themselves without adult supervision and surfing in the beach. That is why it is a bit funny to see them doing actions that we had never seen them do before. The adult carrying a baby is also humorous when he showed a shock expression seeing the baby driving the car by himself.

3. This video is trying to tell us that the car is suitable to drive around for trips like going to the beach. It also tells us that the car is meant for young people to drive.

The colours are ordinary however, to create scenes that relate us back to our lives and the problems we would encounter without the creation of the hyundai car. They also advertised the hyundai car as "the next generation" to tell the viewers that this car is new and more improved then the previous cars. Babies are used to drive the car, as they show that the easy would be easy to function, as babies can also do it. Also, babies are choosy, and when the baby actually chose this car, it shows that everybody would like this car. The hyundai car was also positioned in the middle (at the ending) to make the car prominent and stand out from the scenery. Also, the baby could sit in the boot of the car and put the surfboard in, and this can show that the car has a lot of space.
3. This media is trying to sell me the new model of a hyundai car.
4. I think that this car is intended for fathers. This is because there is one part of the commercial where the baby drove past a father carrying his son. The father was very jealous of the baby, and this thus shows the contradiction between them, and convinces that buying this hyundai car will make their lives easier, as the babies would enjoy the ride in the car, partially because the wind is caressing their faces when they wind down their window.
5. I think that the video would not be very effective. This is because the whole advertisement did not bring out all the good points and functions that the hyundai car has, except showing that it is spacious and able to drive fast. This may not be able to attract people who drives cars as they would want to know more about the car, and they would want the advertisment to be more 'serious' and have a more classy feeling. Yet the advertisement used babies, which i think is kind of lame, and does not leave a lasting impression. I think it was result in lesser buyers as the parents would think that the advertisement can influence their babies to drive the car which is dangerous.

-They used the baby as the main character to promote the car. Firstly, when the baby climbed out of the cot, the sound used for superman was used. Moreover, throughout the commercial, they broke the stereotype of using men to promote the car. The commercial was very funny as it is unusual to see a baby driving a car and surfing on the beach. Besides, the video did not focus on the features of the car. It focused more on promoting that it is representing the next generation. Many of the viewers would just ask themselves, “so what is it from the next generation?” and then drop the commercial. An advertisement should make the viewer consider buying what it is trying to promote and should not have second thoughts about it. Thus, this commercial is not effective.

ReplyDelete2. the advertiser used a car which is rather big and with the contrast between the inside of the car and the car's colour. the colour in the car is black while the outside is white in colour, it has the pure, calm colour probably to help show that the people will be calm and that it is easy to spot, that it will not get into an accident so easily like the other cars,the colours are bright and the car stands out in the advertisement. they chose the baby since everyone knows that baby are still very young so they do not how to do many things but since the baby is able to drive that car, the company is trying to say that the car is really easy to function, if babies can, adults should have no problem with it and since it went on the sand it was able to function well and had no difficulties, it shows that the car is able to function in different situation and they could drive it anywhere anytime. they also showed that the trip itself was very long since it was from his house which is around the city where there were many people there and the baby went to fetch another young baby girl and it was alright out of the city in a deserted area and it was very hot, after that they went to the west coast which was far from where they were before shows that the car is able to contain a huge amount of fuel and you do not need to refuel often. the baby was able to take out a large surfing board this shows that the car has a large space and you will not need to worry not enough space to keep your things. the motto drive your way shows that we can choose the right path with the car and you will always go the right way.

Q2. Colour – the background of the start of the commercial was white. The colour of the car used in the commercial was also white. White somehow seems like a futuristic colour, so the beginning had already brought out the whole idea of the car commercial that the car is for the next generation, which for the future. Then at the end of the commercial, when the car is with the background, the white somehow contrasted with the darker background. This makes the car stands out more.
Size – during the 0:16 – 0:20 time of the video, there was a black car and the Hyundai car. The size of the black car is smaller than the Hyundai one, this effect captured viewer’s attention onto the bigger Hyundai car.
Scene – the scene of the commercial where the car was travelling on was different. This tells that this car not only can travel on the road, it can also travel on sand.
Q3. This video is trying to advertise on the release of the new generation Hyundai vehicle.
Q4. This video is intended for people who have a family with babies. The final destination of where the car go is the beach. Beach is where family normally gathers to have picnic or play, so this somehows brought out the family feeling. Then we could see that the baby was smiling in the car during the car trip. This shows that babies would enjoy riding onto that Hyundai car. Then they mention ‘The next generation’, this phrase was actually referring to the car of it being the next generation of an existent car. But somehow, it has a link with the babies. The link is that when you already have your next generation (babies), this would be a recommended vehicle to buy. Thus, I can conclude this video is meant for married couples with childrens.
Q5. This video is actually not very effective. You would need to really think on the concept for very long before you would understand on why babies were used in this commercial. However, it is effective as it didn’t provided much details but it captured attention by focusing on this car could actually travel for long distances and also on different surfaces. By not providing too much details, it would cause viewers to be more interested in finding out more details about it. The dangers this commercial may lead to is that babies would really go drive a car and to go water-surfing just like what the babies had done in the commercial.

Even if the toddler knows how to drive , the size does not fit and it is illegal to drive below 18years old and without a license . Bright colours like white and yellow are used in this advertisements. These colours leave a positive impact on the viewers and lighten one's mood .

The shots are used wisely like some scenes zoom in on the main part whereas some scene zoom out to show the location etc . In addition , some scenes zoom in to show where the producer wants to emphasize on . At 0:51, the girl was sitting in the boot of the car with other objects such as the surfboard . This shows that the boot of the car is spacious and can contain a lot of things which further attracts the viewers to buy the car.

The toddler is the main character of the advertisement . By using a toddler instead of a adult for the advertisement, it stands out from the other commercials as it is humourous and something out of the ordinary . Futhermore, by using a toddler, it shows that the product is easy to use such that even a toddler knows how to use .
- Brand name of the product .
As HYUNDAI is brand that people regconise as a reliable brand , people would often associate it with good quality .
3) The purpose of this video is to draw our attention to its product( Hyundai car) and persuade us to buy it .
4) I think this video is intended for men who have started their family . I say this because the fact that the toddler took the key to the car in the house shows that the car belonged to his parents . Normally , men would be the ones to drive the car in a family . In addition , at 0:28 of the video , it shows a men carrying a baby looking disbelieved instead of a woman .
5) I think that this advertisement is not effective . Although it is funny and leaves quite a good impression on the viewers, it isn't realistic at all which does not influence the viewers greatly . Futhermore, the advertisement did not advertise much functions of the products . Even then , the functions showed are very ordinary as compared to the other cars of different brand .Children may imitate the toddler as shown in the advertisement as they think it is fun and it is extremely dangerous .

This is to depict the brightness in the car, not only in a physical way, but also in a “bright” or clever way. This will attract many car users as most cars are not very ergonomic.
• Size – The size of the car is bigger than those in the background. This shows the viewers that the car is spacious. This “spacious” characteristic plays an important part in persuading the viewers to buy the car as it shows comfort. The small children in this commercial also adds in to the “spacious” effect as the size of them compared to the size of car is worlds apart. This creates a strong vibe as the message is communicated to the viewers in multiple ways.

ReplyDelete2. The techniques used are firstly, they used the words "The next generation" so as to attract the viewers to think that the car is more to the futuristic side. By changing the people from adults to toddlers, then also empasize "the next generation" on the car as people of the 21st century like us are more IT-savvy nowadays and also gives that this car is made to fit this circumstances. Continuing from this, the colour of the car also gives us a sense of a very futuristic look. It makes the car look cool and expensive at the same time. Hence, attracting people to buy it. Also by using toddlers, they are implying that the car can do things that other cars cannot do. On normal circumstances, toddlers cannot drive and surf, but it is made possible in this advertisement. This shows that the car is able to do things that it is impossible to be accomplished by other cars. The gush of the wind in the beginning of the commercial also gives the sense that the car blows people off their feets.

5. I truly think that this video is not very effective. Though it gives viewers a very big WOW! factor. It does not really show how this car is good. They only show that this car is comfortable, sleek and powerful. But it may give a wrong impression that it is very dangerous and unsafe because there were babies or toddlers performing stunts like climbing off the cot and driving the car. Not only that, babies do have very good memories and they remember what they see or notice. They might imitate what the babies in the advertisement does, causing maybe fatal injuries.

The background is a nice and sunny day, just right for the commercial. it is very ironic when we see a baby driving a car, and this could have attracted our attention, there is a part when a man looked shocked when he see the baby driving the car and the driving skills were quite impressive , people are also easily attracted to the cute babies in the commercial.

1. To be able to produce this media, camcorders are of course used to capture the different timings of the happenings, joining those short videos together to form a big picture of what is really happening at different angles of shots. Thus, it makes the video much more interesting at different point of views, instead of just one same angle throughout the whole video. With the graphics ready, what we now need is the background sound. The music in the media presents a kind of happiness by the sound recorder, maybe, which will lead to me, being very keen to follow the steps that the young boy does. In addition, the sound also allows me to feel relax, no worries about illegal driving at young age with such a soothing voice heard. Then, it will be the use of computer to show the texts about Hyundai and to edit the actions the boy did. They are basically, Photoshop and Movie Maker. As an about four years old young kid, it is impossible for the boy to drive a car, let alone Hyundai and to surf smoothly on the sea. With such a low IQ at the age of four, it is also underage and illegal for them. Not to forget about their inability to balance well on surfboard too. Therefore, to create an ironic situational, Photoshop is used to contradict the actions the boy have done. Hence, this contradicting media is produced to show the desire for an underage kid to drive Hyundai; so irresistible.

The person who makes this media is trying to show that there is nothing wrong in driving your way through the road, though you are underage. He/She is trying to advertise about one driving Hyundai being having lots of freedom, and being relax; nothing unusual about it. Then, the music used in the media is very classical. This classical music represents the solidity and firmness of the Hyundai, especially with the trumpets’ sound. This shows that the Hyundai car is very durable, cannot be destroyed easily even in the hands of a four years old kid, with a low mentality. It will result in gaining more people’s trust, in believing that they are trust-worthy for their materials used in Hyundai, causing the very-hard-type-of-car effect. After that, the characters used in the media; four years old boy, a young girl at the same age and the father of a son younger than the four years old are ironic. Firstly, how can a boy drive in the European country when he is underage, have only an IQ of a four years old and balance himself steadily that he can actually surf on the sea?! Furthermore, how is he able to climb out of his bed with high rails for him?! Then, the young girl of the same age as him. How is she able to be alone in such a deserted place with anyone?! Young toddlers are always seen accompanied with their parents all day long. Also, why is she well-prepared with stuffs to bring along to the coast when she is without her parents?! Lastly, the father of a son younger than four years old. He gave a shocking-looking face that is trying to convey the question, “what is that kid doing in the car?!”, when the four years old toddler waved at him. Next will be the texts seen in the media. The movie editor chose white as the font colour, bold-ed it to make it outstanding and possible to be seen by the media viewers. This will of course show that the choice of white is common but the bolding of the words are extraordinary, just like the Hyundai car. The outer appearance may seem ordinary but the usage of it will be extraordinary. You will never know the taste of car, unless you try it, conveyed by the media. Hence, these qualities will then attract more attention of the viewers to the media.
3. The purpose of the media, is to advertise the new Hyundai car model, about it being wonderful to use that even a four years old toddler would want to drive it. Then, this ironic effect will cause more people to be attracted in driving Hyundai, increasing the sales number of Hyundai. To also advertise the media, slogan of ‘Drive your way’ can also be easily seen. The company is trying to tell the car buyers that Hyundai has already equipped the cars of theirs with all the necessary items, right after their purchase, the car owners can be able to do anything they want to, driving their own way in reaching the destinations. I say this because driving below eighteen years old is both underage and illegal as they do not have the mentality to possess with road awareness since they were young at age. Thus, the teenagers and kids group are excluded from the possibility of the age group for driving. Then, the elderly are not to be mentioned that they suitable to drive. As one gets older, illnesses like Presbyopia, the gradual loss of one’s ability to focus on near objects as we age. As such, how can they see the traffic lights, passer-bys and vehicles moving on the road? They might just knock someone off, you know? So, elderly are also not included too. Therefore, there leave only the youths, and uncles/aunties. In addition, with the mention of media. It reminds me of the father carrying the son of his at the back. His flabbergasted face is trying to convey the message that only people of his age can drive, instead of the younger ones. The reason he was shocked because he saw someone was driving illegally. He, or maybe everyone always thought that kids are impossible to drive, thinking that they CANNOT drive. However, the four years old boy driving the Hyundai showed him the contradiction between his thinkings, thus leaving him puzzled, stunned there. Hence, the media is intended for youths and uncles/aunties age group only as the rest of the options are totally out.
5. The media is trying to convey the value of doing what you want to. The four years old toddler in the media drove. He actually DROVE. He did what he wanted to, even though that is illegal. In the media, he droved freely, waved with ease and surfed smoothly, not going against his own will at all, right? However, the value the media is trying to convey is not very effective actually. The male lead actor did something illegal, something against the law and he got off without being caught by the police. That was something not to be done AT ALL. It was against the character of his. Him, being a cute toddler should be staying at home, idling around, rather than committing illegal crimes. This will of course influence the young kids when broadcasted to the public. Those kids will then have the mindset that they can drive since young, at the age of theirs. After that, they will then experiment, using their parents’ car, they will try; causing serious accidents, troubles and chaos to the world. It will be then, when the parents will sue the company for mis-educating their kids in leading them to injuries or deaths maybe. After that, the reputation of Hyundai will go down, let alone the sales number of cars. Then, closing down will be the end result.

the commercial is playing to tell
people that they will be buy a branded car.
Since it is a branded car, it
can easily attract people who loves to buy
branded products to buy the car so
they can show off to other people.
Sound effect like songs to make the whole
commercial relaxing. So it is hinting
at people that it is relaxing to drive in
the car. As most drivers knows, is hard to
drive a car when they are sometimes driving
to a faraway place. So if they want
to travel to a faraway place while relaxing
at the same time, they should buy
the car.
The scenery during the middle of the
commercial shows the mountains, probably
wanting to tell us that the car is suitable
for long-distance drive. Also, the camera
also sort of zoom in the part where the
commercial is showing the inside of the
car as it wants to emphasize that the car
is spacious and many people can sit or
many things that can be put inside it.

Colour;
The colours in the commercial are light and mostly bright colours. The colour of the car is also white. The commercial is trying to say that if one buys the car, he or she will feel calm while driving it, as bright colours like white, yellow and beige are calming and soothing colours. The colour of the inner part of the car is mostly black and this contrasts with the white part of car exterior, the light-coloured clothes of the babies, and the bright surroundings. This is to highlight the appearance, the attactiveness of the car's "inner beauty", and also other facilities of the car. It also makes the interior of the car stand out.
Size;
The car is big ang large, compared to the other black car on the road when the baby was driving it. The inside of the car is very spacious. Usually, people would want to buy a bigger car at it is more spacious and they would not have to squeeze. Thus, the commercial is trying to promote the car by tring to show off the interior section. Also, towards the end of the video, the little girl is sitting in the opened boot. I think this is a good way to promote the car. This way, the audience will be able to see the largeness of the boot, and they might consider buying it. Also, a toddler/baby may not be able to fit into a normal or smaller car's boot. This shows that this car has a spacious and large boot which can fit even a baby inside.

I think that this video is intended for young people who wants to buy a car. They might be attracted to it as the commercial has babies in it. Uusally, most people are attracted to babies, especially young people. I think it is also intended for middle-aged people with families or children. When these families watch the video, they may find that the babies relate to thier children. Also, the babies look very cheerful and happy in the commercial.
This gives viewers the impression that if they buy the car and use it, their children will be happy and satisfied.

I think that the video is both effective and not effective. It is effective as it promotes the uses, facitlies and spaciousness through exhibiting the inner part of the car. Customers will usually go for the size of the car, and they definitely want it to be more spacious. This gives the Hyundai car a benefit over other car brands. However, it is not effective as it does not really promote much of the car anymore towards the end of the commercial. It shows more of the babies playing and having fun instead of the car. Thus, people wont be interested in the car but the babies instead. If a mentally-ill person were to watch the video, he/she might go and let a baby drive the car. This is very life-threatening to the baby as the baby is innocent and does not know how to drive. This may lead to road accidents. Also, the commercial may give a viewers a bad impression as they might be wondering why the producers used babies instead of adults. They might think that the producers are cruel as they use babies in their commercial, as they might find it dangerous for the baby. Thus, the audience will not want to watch the video or buy the car anymore.

The size of how the baby suits into it should also look proportional so that the advertisement does not look funny. The creative language used like sign language without the baby speaking is creative and it also shows that the car can also 'communicate' with you just like how the baby communicates with the baby girl.
