  1. I have learnt that newscasting we need to focus on the subject and not go out of point,we need to be fair and respect everyone's comments. We should always keep our eye on the audience and people being interviewed as this is respect and profession. We should also know our facts well so we don't give the audience wrong info and create misunderstandings. We should choose the correct background and headline to attract people's attention and brief them on what is happening. We should also always be serious and fluent in our reporting and not to trust everything we see or hear as it may confuse or "blind" us.We should also not let the media influence us and understand more about the media so that we can give our audience a detailed brief of news and gain trust from them by being partial and knowledgeable!

  4. I have learnt that newscasting is very hard. The news broadcaster need to be focus on the headline and he or she needs to choose the correct headline and correct background. The broadcaster needs to respect people's opinions or viewsso they can be fair. They need to keep a eye on the audience and they need to make the interviewed person comfortable so the can talk in a relax way. They should always be serious in all time and not to trust anything they hear or see so that they would not confuse the audiences and they cannot be influence by the internet in order to fair to everyone. They would also need to give a detailed brief of the headline

  6. I have learn that i should not view something at my own shoe but instead to see it in other people shoes. Choosing the right person to interview is also a key point in new broadcasting. Giving my own opinion is essential and my opinion should not hurt others. Being a news broadcaster is also very tough as if you were to say sth wrong then i is goin to b ur fault. Giving false news is also a bad thing too.

  7. I learn that doing a broadcasting is not as easy as it seems. It takes a lot of time any effort to put up a good news broadcast.A right person and the correct attitude is important for a good news broadcast. It is also important not to take any peoples side's. The news broadcaster's job is also the hardest. If we give a wrong information, we will be in trouble.

  8. I have learnt that the news broadcasted by the broadcaster should not be giving any false information to the audience, all the information must be true so that it can provide us with factual information that we can rely upon, don’t be like the information posted on internet, FAKE. The opinion given by one must be based on what they had really said, the broadcaster cannot be cutting some crucial parts away. Own opinion about one incident is very important as it may a stepping stone to tell us the conspiracies which surrounds the incident. In conclusion, the news must be correct, true and the opinion must be based on what one really says.

  10. I have learnt that newscasting is very though. For example, every sentence that we say, we must hold responsibility, need to do alot things so that when we speak, we speak real things, we also need to be serious when reporting. On top of that, i also learnt that the job as a newscaster is very though too because if they said wrong things, the chance of losing the job is very high. We must take into consideration in everything that we say when we report.

  11. i have learnt how to put information together in a funny, interesting and informative manner. I learnt how to speak in front of other people without showing my fear. I also learnt how to handle the different equipment.I learnt to doubt the information on the internet and find out whether or not it is true by ourselves. Though all this experiences i learnt that every single piece that is broadcasted is impotant and may affect the economy or certain things.

  13. I have learnt that news broadcast is not easy and it takes a lot of courage to be in front of the camera and time to prepare for the script, background and storybaording. We have to make sure that the information is not offensive and it is not false. In a news broadcast, the broadcaster would feel stressed out because the moment he/she speaks a wrong word, the reputaion of the comapny would be affected. However, I have learnt to control my fears and I have also learned a lot in this news broadcast.

  15. I have learnt that newscasters should have confidence while speaking, and try to look at the camera or at the person being interviewed as much as possible, as this shows respect. He/she should also focus on the subject that they are talking about and try not to go out of point. Newscasters should not voice out their opinions, as it is not fair to others who object to that particular opinion. Newscasters should be impartial in their judgement and look at the problem with different perspectives. Newcasters should also broadcast their news in a creative manner to attract the viewers' attention.

  19. I think broadcasting is a very interesting yet challenging thing. It proves how diligent, observant and creative you are. It helps one to gain confidence and to gain respect from the audiences. Broadcasters are not allowed to voiceout their own comments but to follow the scripts given to them. In this process, we will have to let the people understand that being in the broadcasting line is not a simple job after all. It also helps the people in seeing that they are able to tell the fake from the real. We to need creativity to create the backgrounds, to use bold and outstanding words for the headlines in order to attract the viewer's attention.

  20. i think that newscasting is not an easy thing. the job is rather hard that not every one can do but through this activity, i can conclude that it is rather interesting thing to do. the movement on the screen is controlled by different machines. the screen helps to differentiate the difference between who are talking. this also teach us that the headlines of the news are rather important since the headline is the one that catches the readers attention when they see the article, thus concluding if they would continue watching or reading. the people presenting must also have a good voice that would not talk in a monotone so that the people viewing would not regret that they watch the show and they would continue watching the news from then on.

  21. I think that broadcasting is a thing that upgrades your creativity, innovation and ability to express . However, it is not as simple as it looks . When finding a suitabke background or effects , we have to make sure that it does not attract the audiences attention more than it is supposed to . It has to be suitable for the situation of what we are broadcasting about . Broadcasting requires the maximum alertness of any changes , or else it may not be accurate .

  24. In newscasting,I learnt that it is not an easy task to take on.One example is when the reporter or journalist has to go all out to interview people involved in certain things. When a reporter reports the news,he or she has to show a sense of confidence and have feelings.Lastly, you mmay not be able to express your comments all the time as you have to follow most of the script.

  26. I learnt that when we are doing newscasting,we must not be biased and the newscaster must not give too much of his/her opinion.He/she must also speak in a clear, confident tone and fluently too. Also, the newscaster must also dress in a formal clothing and put on a smile when facing the camera so that it will leave a good impression on the audience. The reporter doing on the news must also do his/her best to find out and provide the true infomation to the audience.Lastly, when we are broadcasting the news,we must also find a suitable background so as to give the audience a general view of what the topic is.

  27. I have learn that newscasting is very hard as it requires lots of different skill such as editing, public speaking and many more. Through this newscasting, i learn many different useful skill and i will try to pratice it in my daily life.Next, i learn that that the reporter that is doing the news should always give the true and also the best information as many people just believe what the reporters tell them. If this happened, then it could create lots of misunderstanding and also unwanted trouble.

  29. I have learn that when we are broadcasting,we should be talking the main point and not crap.Newsbroadcasting is also a tough job as we must be very fluent in our language and must always respect the viewers and whenever you say somthing wrongly, you must say sorry then repeat the whole thing again. This is also a form of basic courtesy. We also have to be keeping eye-contact wih the viewers.

  30. I have learnt that writing a good script is important and the information I want to tell the viewers must be said and written clearly. The content of the script must also link with the newscast I am going to report.
When reporting, the tone I used must be correct. Having constant eye contacts with viewers by looking at the camera when reporting is also important. The language spoken must also be fluent, so viewers can understand what I am saying.
Choose the proper background when reporting. Choosing a lousy background would destroy the whole impression of the newscast and may cause viewers to get frustrated.

  31. I have learnt that in newscasting, not only a lively and entertaining voice is needed. We must constantly have an eye-to-eye contact with the audience.Besides, fluent English is also a must.I have also learnt that reliable news should not be biased and should not be carried away from the topic and focus on it.We should also respect one another's view and be fair.Meanwhile,we should use appropriate background and title in a news.We must use tools that are relavant to the topic.Media literacy(newscasting) also teaches us not to be influence by others' comments and stay to justice!

  32. i have learnt about the importance of a newscast and how much people daily have relied on it.therefore,i have learnt that news reports should not be biased and should not even have the wrong information as the news reports should be chacked repeatedly as these newscasts are watched by people all over singapore and occasionally in other parts of asia.even during the broadcast the news reporter has to present the news well as people who watch the news might get fed up with it if the delivery of the news is not good even if the news has all the main points.

  33. Newscasting is a difficult job as we need to do alot of things to make a proper newscast. There is a background to set, informations to find, scripts to write and we need time to remember what we are supposed to say.We must find the correct information so that we do not anyhow speak about our opinion which may not be fact. The background must also be proper as it must be related to the news report or it will be very funny. People will also be interested because of the background of the news. If the background is not related to the news, people may get uninterested and don't watch the news anymore.
