  2. I feel much more safe surfing the internet now because I know how to be careful when searching for information and not to become a victim of fake information. PBL exercise have helped me to differentiate between true and false information, like pictures on the cover page of magazines are actually photoshopped! I feel safe because PBL lessons have taught me to be careful when searching for information, and to only go into websites that I am suppose to go. I also feel that I should be careful as not to become a victim of false information.

  3. I feel that sometimes the internet may affect us and the internet is a virus as sometimes poeple may use it illegally to do crime or lead you astray. The internet contains fake and real info that requires us to use our 3Cs-Credibility,Corroboration,Consistency to figure or find out whether if the info is real `reliable or feasible that would not harm us-both mental and physically and most of all not get us involved in crime or become a scapegoat, this will also ruin our future. We must use the net legally and we can also use our knowledge or talents to help other people by giving them more info to help them in their studies. We must also use our common sense to figure if the thing is guaranteed or realistic.Whether those nfo on the net are real needs us to help to sort them out and warn others so that we will not blindly follow and get harm!

  4. i feel safer now when I surf the internet as after the lessons I know how to differentiate if the information shown on the internet are reliable . We have to check the 3C's which are , Corroboration ,consistency and credibility.
I also feel safer as the lessons have taught me not to trust all the information on the internet
as not all of them are reliable. I also found out that 99.9% of the magazines have been photoshopped ,now I do not trust the information found on the internet before I check if it is a reliable source.

  6. i feel that it is more safe to surf the internet as i can differentiate the information shown on the internet. if we need to find whether the information is fake or real, we will have to check for the 3c's test-corroboration, consistency and credibility.
we should not totally rely on the internet information as it is not always true. so it is better to check for the 3c's before you put the information in your homework or project!

  7. I feel that it is more safe to surf those trusted sites. And when we came upon a information,we must always use the 3C's inorder to find out if the information is true or fake.

  8. I begin to realised that sometimes, it is better to check with other internet websites first before using the information I have found. Who expect that some of the information in the wikipiedia is false? Hence, before we could use the information I had found, I should do the three C's test.If it pass all the three C's it is prove to be true. Otherwise, we all know it is false. This prevents us for passing as well as learning the wrong things.

  9. I am more aware on the websites i went to for research and i learnt to be careful of the information given by certain websites which might be false.I also feel much safer now that i know some websites like wikipedia, facebook and more sometimes gave fake profiles and information to internet users, because i learnt that these websites are not that trustful, i might stop refering from them and search for other reliable websites that are more feasible.

  11. I feel that for some or every websites we see or visit , the information and pictures are being changed or edited ; the information being changed by someone elses who we don't know if he/she is professional or is just a cheater and the pictures might be edited by photoshop . Things we see on internet is fake , false and not true , don't believe in whatever u see . E.g.For wikipedia , Brian Chase , 38 , manager at small delivery service in Nashville posted false information about his friend , John Seigenthaler , a journalist . He just wanted to play pranks on him . Therefore , don't believe in whatever u see on internet or u will get hurt in the end .In addition , we can also use the 3Cs - credibility , consistency and corroboration to differentiate from true and false information. This helps us - lower chances to be the victim got cheated on the internet .

I would remind myself constantly to be more cautious and careful while surfing the internet after this PBL exercise.I have learnt that not all the information are reliable. In order to ensure I have got the true information,I could tally it with 2other websites, books and magazines.I could have use the 3C's - Consistency,Credibility,Corroboration to help me verify the true information too.Meanwhile,I felt lucky to be able to have this chance to attend Media lesson which has benefited me in countless ways such as aiding me to know that some pictures are actually photoshopped

  19. I feel that we should not be careless to blindly copy and paste information for our research and reports without checking its reliability because the the internet can be harmful to us if we use it blindly. We may not be able to ensure that the information we got is 100% reliable however we can just make sure the webpage is not a bogus one.

When i get information from the internet, i must make sure that they are true by searching more about that information either by other webpages, magazines, newspaper ect. Since i know that not all information on the internet in true, i must not copy and paste any information i see from the internet into any powerpoint presentation.

  27. After this exercise, I feel safer when surfing on the internet. Last time, I did not care what I do on the internet bacause I thought it was not a threat to me. Now, I know how to look out for false information on the net. Websites like wikipedia, google and yahoo etc, are some websites that appeal to the laziness of some students. These student do not make the effort to study but copy and paste the information from these websites. Now as web users, I feel that we should do our part as responsible citizens.

  29. I feel that we should not trust everything on the Internet as some information on the Internet is not true. We should be more careful when researching for information on the Internet and should find out more about the information before using it. We should at least cross-check with other websites about the same information for consistency.

  35. After going through this PBL lesson, i learnt that we cant trust everything that we see on the internet. The internet is a very dangerous place where people can trick us easily by just faking their identies. The PBL lessons teach me how to verify the information that we find by checking and comparing what we find with other useful sources, so as to see if the website can be trusted. After the lesson, i learnt a lot more about internet safety which will be very useful to me in the near future whenever i am surfing the ineternet.

I think that the internet is harmful as some people may have misconceptions and post it online or some people with money to may influence the internet to get a certain result.

  40. After the PBL excercise, the internet posses as a more dangerous threat than ever. Although some parts of the internet are safe and reliable, majority of it are full of false information and distorted truth. Now, when using a search engine for work, I learnt to check with other websites for reliability. After all, the internet is a wolf in sheep's clothing waiting for ignorant people who will easily get leaded by the nose. Here, media literacy comes in to empower us with the skills to differentiate from black and white.
