Solutions to PBL 1

We now know that we cannot trust the internet completely. Thus, we have to find solutions to educate our classmates on how to try to verify the information they get from the internet.
Write down as many types of products in which the solutions can be passed on to our fellow classmates and highlight which type of information you wish to teach your classmates to verify.
Example: "I want to use powerpoint to present way in which we can verify the identity of the person whose web page we are using for our research."

  1. We want to use blogs/websites to post tips about reducing the chances on getting false information on the internet.

We want to enable pop-ups before a web user enters into a certain website. This allows the web user to understand that he/she might actually not be supposed to go into that website, which may be giving out false information.

We also want to design posters containing information that writes about the consequences on believing false information, and the risks of getting false information from a certain website that might be suitable for young people.

  4. we should find out more from other website to make sure that the informatin of that subject or news are correct. We should know more about the topic and learn more about it before making the conclusion whether the news is true. we must know more about the person that posted the news, make sure that the source that they got from is valid and trustable.

  11. Hellos,
We would like to create a blog to show others the risk of believing false information on the internet. We also will giv tips on how to differentiate true and false information. We hope that people would learn from the information on our blog, learn how to know whether the information on the website is true or false and not get cheated by the information they found on the internet.
