What i do in media literacy class helps me to understand more about the media,and world and how people edit or phtoshot things or models using the computer and camera.Media literacy is not really revelant to my life as it only teach us about the media world and not other bigger things happening around us,but it is quite useful as it teaches us not to aceept everything as the truth that we hear or see from the internet and helps us to learn to use our 3 critical thinking skills to help us get the full picture of truth and how to verify and decide if the information is reliable.Media literacy also requires alot of group work that helps to promote our teamwork,collaboration,thinking skills and learn to work together with different types of people!
What I do in Media Literacy class teaches me that we cannot believe everything that is in the internet. We should check whether we can trust the website by comparing the information with other sources of information to make sure they are true and not false. I learnt that believing some things on the internet have risks like getting cheated by information on the internet and in the end getting hurt oursleves. I learnt the importance of checking whether the information we obtain from the internet is reliable or not, if we do not check, we might get into trouble and become a victim of getting cheated from false information on the internet. Yes,what i am doing in Media Literacy is relevant to my life.From the first few Media Literacy lessons,it teaches me that something or EVERYTHING we see on the internet,magazines,newspaper and many more are not what it seems e.g.the photos might be edited by the photoshop or the information was being changed by someone else and Media Literacy helped me to verify what information is true or false which will help me in the future when using the net.In addition,we can tell the people by using the powerpoints,blogs or more to inform them of the awareness of the internet frauds.Don't believe in whatever u see or u will be ended up as one of the victims being cheated. We can check whether the information is true or false by using the 3Cs : Credibility,Consistency and Corrroboration.Credibility->we can check whether the website or the source is reliable , Consistency->we can check 2 different websites on the same topic has the same meanings behing the sentences and Corroboration->we can see whether the information is the same as the e.g.books.Be careful or u will hurt yourself ! In those websites, people are able to fake their identity and it is easy for us to be cheated by them. In media literacy, we learnt that most of the things and pictures we see in magazines are photoshoped.I didn't learn about this during primary school.Students finding information on the internet do not know that some of those information we see on the net are fake or untrue.We should share all these information with our family members and friends.It benefits not only us but also them because not only will we know about what is going on on the internet,they will also know the risks of getting fake information on the net.This also warns us what we see sometime in our daily life is not necessarily be true.It also gives us the chance to use the computer and work with others.

Informations being posted in the internet are not always reliable or accurate,so being able to differentiate between what is correct or incorrect would be very useful. Media Literacy also teaches us that some pictures and videos were being edited before they were posted to the interet or printed in the magazine covers,so don't believe 100% of what is shown in the internet.
Media Literacy is essential as it makes us aware of using the internet wisely and safely.As currently,many things are done through the world wide web.We should then be careful as there are bound to be harmful information on the internet.We can never be sure that the information put up on the internet is true.Therefore if we are doing projects,reports or research we should ensure that the sources are reliable enough to be used by checking other websites to see if they all have the same information because even trusted,official and the most commonly used websites have reported fake articles due to hackers and scamming.

I think media literacy is not really very useful to me(until now),I say this because knowing about that the internet sometimes are just cheating us is already nothing common but it was useful when we learnt how to differentiate truth shown on the internet and the fake information shown on the internet and to what we learn about photo-shop I already kenw something about it thus,I did not learn much from it and through all the few lessons about media literacy I gain some knowledge too so I think media literacy still provide us with some knowledge from it.
